I devoured this book in 5 days. It reads like a novel and I must say this man is quite the eloquent writer. I found his navigating through issues of identity most intriguing and his life story absolutely fascinating. By far the best book I’ve read in a long time. Can’t wait ’til I get my hands on his second book.

That’s when I just end up putting it in a bun or pony tail. Once in a blue moon though it ends up looking descent enough to wear out and everyone who I run into on a daily basis usually positively comments on it. I love the option of wearing my hair straight which this book isn’t too keen on with it’s emphasis on au natural but nonetheless I’m taking it’s curly girl recommendations to heart…you know….for those days i want curls.
