It’s the new trend and it’s absolutely fabulous!!!
Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I’ve had mine for about a month now and it is perfect. I seriously haven’t bought bottled water since I got this. No need….AND no grimy buildup I used to find in every plastic water bottle I had bought in the past.
The good news is that this is only the 2nd time I’ve had a flu this bad. Last time was when Anika was an infant (8 years ago) which by far was worse because I needed to take care of her no matter how much it hurt to move.
Ok, I’m not really thinking about death or anything of the sort but I came across this topic while browsing through an alternative health newsletter. I am thoroughly fascinated. I had no idea a standard American burial was so UN-eco-friendly. Now this sounds like a business idea with a whole lot of “promise” in this new ecologically friendly age.
Check out PROMESSA. Basically the corpse is frozen to -18 degrees Celcius, then submerged into liquid nitrogen where it becomes very firm and brittle. It then disintegrates into dust through a special light vibration. After the removal of water and other metals the remaining powder is placed in a potato starch coffin which once buried will turn to compost in 6-12 months. You even get the option of planting a tree on top to absorb all the nutrients.
I went to my first Dr.’s visit here yesterday. Again, I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with these dizzy/fainting spells I’ve gotten since I was young but seem to be increasing in frequency in the last couple of years. Deana, you were right on when you mentioned vasovagal syncope last year. The doctor did bring that up as a possibility but is doing thorough testing to see what’s going on. From what I’ve read, it sounds pretty right on. We’ll see what the tests turn up. It’s pretty cool to finally get thorough testing. In the past all I’ve had was an EKG which always turned out fine though I do have a minor heart murmur which I’ve had as long as I can remember. This doctor is a cardiac specialist but also sees general patients and apparently one of the best around here. I liked him a lot. So far I’ve already had an in depth heart sonogram and am currently wearing a 24 hour heart monitor. I’m scheduled for blood tests and a chest x-ray.
I’ve got 10 of these stickers all over me attached to a bulky monitor on a waist strap.

I figured since it’s already checking what’s going on I might as see what is really going on when I drink coffee and when I exercise so that’s exactly what I did this morning. I had stopped drinking coffee about 2 weeks ago and I don’t exercise regularly other than walking. Exercise is one of the things that’s always sure to lead to lightheadedness and fainting so I tend to take it very easy. Today (just for the test
), I did 15 minutes of slow yoga (mostly sun salutations) and then some kicks, lunges, squats and very light weight arm lifts and sure enough after about 15 minutes I was lightheaded and short of breath. I stopped because I know from experience that continuing after that leads to full on passing out and just feeling sick. I laid down and put my legs up and after another 20 minutes I began feeling better.
For now, my only instructions are drink more water and have more salt.
So I’ve take the 30 day VEG PLEDGE on goveg.org. I’m actually on day two. When Mel and the kids opted for pizza for lunch yesterday I was fine without but I must say I was delighted when we continued walking down the street (2nd Ave.) and ran into this all-natural & organic pizza place.
I picked up an eggplant slice. YUMMALICIOUS!!!
